Evaluation of Calinski-Harabasz Criterion as Fitness Measure for Genetic Algorithm Based Segmentation of Cervical Cell Nuclei
Journal Title: Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science - Year 2017, Vol 22, Issue 6
Abstract
In this paper, the classication capability of Calinski-Harabasz criterion as an internal cluster validation measure has been evaluated for clustering-based region discrimination on cervical cells. In this approach, subregions in the sample image are initially randomly constructed to be the individuals of the population. At each generation, individuals are evaluated according to their Accordingly a novel genetic structure for meta heuristic area isolation is proposed. Evaluation of proposed combination of genetic algorithm and Calinski-Harabasz measure is achieved by experiments, conducted on real cervical cell samples. We have used two separate cluster validity measures to evaluate the performance of the clustering approach. Jaccard index and F-score are utilized for objective comparison. Results shows that, Calinski-Harabasz criteria may have a better performance with proposed novel genetic structure and presented mechanism may have great potential on discrimination of specic regions.

Estimation in Step-stress Partially Accelerated Life Test for Exponentiated Pareto Distribution under Progressive Censoring with Random Removal
Accelerated life testing or partially accelerated life testing is generally used in manufacturing industries since it affords significant minimization in the cost and test time. In this paper, a step-stress partially acc...
Convergence of Differential Transform Method for Ordinary Differential Equations
Differential transform method (DTM) as a method for approximating solutions to differential equations have many theorems that are often used without recourse to their proofs. In this paper, attempts are made to compile t...
Population Dynamics in Optimally Controlled Economic Growth Models: Case of Linear Production Function
This paper discusses optimally controlled economic growth models with linear aggregate production function of capital and labour. It compares and contrasts real per capita income performance over time in situations where...
DRBEM Sensitivity Analysis and Shape Optimization of Rotating Magneto-Thermo-Viscoelastic FGA Structures Using Golden-Section Search Algorithm Based on Uniform Bicubic B-Splines
Aims: A practicalshape optimization technique is developed, using thedual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) with the golden-section search algorithm based on uniform bicubic B-splines, for rotating magneto-ther...
On a Discrete Time Semi-Markov Risk Model with Dividends and Stochastic Premiums
A discrete semi-Markov risk model with dividends and stochastic premiums is investigated. We derive recursive equations for the expected penalty function by using the technique of probability generating function. Finally...
