Evaluation of Clinical and Radiographical Outcome of Apexification Therapy Utilizing PRF & MTA With CBCT – A Case Series.

Abstract

Aim : To examine the clinical and radiographic appearance of teeth that suffered premature interruption of root development and were treated by mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) apical plug technique and platelet rich fibrin as a matrix. Summary: Four teeth with immature root apices in 4 patients were treated nonsurgically by the manual application of MTA in the apical portion of the root canal under microscopic vision. Follow-up evaluations were performed at 3months, 9 and 12 months after treatment.
