Evaluation of Posterior Segment Manifestations Amomg Children Complaining Visual Disturbances

Abstract

Posterior segment Ocular manifestations among children are diverse and global. At this age, eye lesions are often unnoticed because of the incapacity to express eye discomfort and lack of availability of experienced posterior segment eye specialists. The purpose of this study is to describe posterior segment ocular manifestations among children and hence associated factors in the Department of Ophthalmology at the JLN Hospital, Ajmer (Rajasthan) which is a tertiary eye care centre in central Rajasthan, India. This is prospective study conducted between 1st September 2015 and 30th march 2017. A complete ophthalmic examination was done to all children attending the Retina clinic, as part of their routine medical visit.
