EVALUATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE INSTITUTIONAL ENVIRONMENT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOREIGN ECONOMIC RELATIONS IN THE TRANS BOUNDARY REGIONS

Abstract
The article defines the influence of informal institutions on the development of foreign economic activity in a trans boundary region between Ukraine and the European Union, as well as the role of the institutional and customary environment in the development of cross-border cooperation. Based on the survey of experts of enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity, an assessment was made of the impact of socio-psychological factors of TSS development on the magnitude of transaction costs in a trans boundary region. It was revealed that the relative importance of different types of transaction costs in different trans boundary regions is not the same. In the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region, the highest transaction costs for border crossing and security, Ukrainian-Slovak for the conclusion of contracts and settlements, for Ukrainian-Romanian and Ukrainian-Hungarian-for information and security. Further research on this problem should be directed to the search for measures to improve the institutional environment in the TCR.
