Evaluation of the Von Rosenberg's method for the convection-diffusion equation
Journal Title: Bulletin of Computational Applied Mathematics (Bull CompAMa) - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
An explicit numerical scheme developed by Von Rosenberg for the convection-diffusion equation in one spatial dimension is reviewed and analyzed. The convergence of this scheme is outlined and a comparative study was established with an explicit standard finite difference scheme. The results show that Von Rosenberg's scheme considerably improves the stability condition and accuracy in difficult problems associated with very small diffusion coefficients. This study extends and corrects the original work presented by Von Rosenberg, which represents an original contribution.

Quadrature formulae of Euler-Maclaurin type based on generalized Euler polynomials of level m
This article deals with some properties -which are, to the best of our knowledge, new- of the generalized Euler polynomials of level $m$. These properties include a new recurrence relation satisfied by these polynomials...
Modified Spectral Projected Subgradient Method: Convergence Analysis and Momentum Parameter Heuristics
The Modified Spectral Projected Subgradient (MSPS) was proposed to solve Langrangen Dual Problems, and its convergence was shown when the momentum term was zero. The MSPS uses a momentum term in order to speed up its con...
New results on the stability, integrability and boundedness in Volterra integro-differential equations
The authors of this article deal with a first order non-linear Volterra integro-differential equation (NVIDE). To this end, the conditions are obtained which are sufficient for stability (S), boundedness (B), and for eve...
Total dominator chromatic number of some operations on a graph
Let G be a simple graph. A total dominator coloring of G is a proper coloring of the vertices of G in which each vertex of the graph is adjacent to every vertex of some color class. The total dominat...
