Abstract

 Hemolytic disease of newborn (HDN) is an important cause of hyperbilirubinemia in the neonatal period,and delayed diagnosis and treatment may lead to permanent brain damage. Traditional neonatal treatment of HDN is intensive phototherapy and exchange transfusion.Intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIgG) has been introduced as an alternative therapy to exchange transfusion.
