Evolutionary approach to optimisation of the operation of electric power distribution networks
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 6
Abstract
An idea of using a classifying system and co-evolutionary algorithm for operation support of electric power distribution systems operators has been presented in the paper. The method proposed by the author of the work is typified by the short time of designating the most rational post breakdown configurations in complex electric power Medium Voltage distribution network structures. It is the use by the classifying system working with the co-evolution algorithm that enables the effective creation of substitute scenarios for the Medium Voltage electric power distribution network. The method drawn up may be used in current systems managing the work of distribution networks to assist network operators in taking decisions concerning connection actions in supervised electric power systems.

A Collective Neurodynamic Approach to Survivable Virtual Network Embedding
Network virtualization has attracted significant amount of attention in the last few years as one of the key features of cloud computing. Network virtualization allows multiple virtual networks to share physical resource...
Using Social Signal of Hesitation in Multimedia Content Retrieval
This paper presents the graphical analysis of selection traces in matrix-factorization space of multimedia items. A trace consists of links (lines) between points that present a selected item during interaction between u...
Algorithm design for a supply chain equilibrium management model
In this paper, we consider a complementary model for the equilibrium management of supply chain. In order to give an optimal decision for the equilibrium management, we propose a new algorithm based on an estimate...
Multivariable Decoupling Controller: Application to Multicellular Converter
A new control strategy is presented in this paper, based on previous works limited to the control of the capacitor voltages considered as the outputs of a three cell converter. An additional control input is proposed to...
Rotation-Invariant Neural Pattern Recognition System Using Extracted Descriptive Symmetrical Patterns
In this paper a novel rotation-invariant neural-based pattern recognition system is proposed. The system incorporates a new image preprocessing technique to extract rotation-invariant descriptive patterns from the...
