Evolutionary identification of laminates? granular parameters. (Received in the final form November 12, 2010)
Journal Title: Computer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science - Year 2010, Vol 17, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper deals with the identification of material constants in simple and hybrid laminates. It is assumed that identified constants are non-deterministic and can be described by means of different forms of the information granularity represented by interval numbers, fuzzy numbers or random variables. The Two- Stage Granular Strategy combining global (Evolutionary Algorithm) and local (gradient method supported by an Artificial Neural Network) optimization techniques is used to solve the identification problems. Finite Element Method in the granular form is used to solve the direct problem for laminates. Modal analysis methods are employed to collect measurement data

Scatter assessment of rotating system vibrations due to uncertain residual unbalances and bearing properties
The main objective of the presented study is an evaluation of the effectiveness of various methods for estimating statistics of rotor-shaft vibration responses. The computational effectiveness as well as the accuracy of...
Identification problems of Recurrent Cascade Neural Network application in predicting an additional mass location
The paper is a development of research originated in [8]. The identification problem deals with searching the location of a small mass attached to a steel plate. The corresponding inverse problem is based on measurement...
Minimizing the memory usage with parallel out-of-core multi-frontal direct solver
This paper presents the out-of-core solver for three-dimensional multiphysics problems. In particular, our study focuses on the three-dimensional simulations of the linear elasticity coupled with acoustics. The out-of-co...
Sequential stochastic identification of elastic constants using Lamb waves and particle filters
Sequential stochastic identification of elastic parameters of thin aluminum plates using Lamb waves is proposed. The identification process is formulated as a Bayesian state estimation problem in which the elastic consta...
A mixed, scalable domain decomposition method for incompressible flow
This work deals with the construction of a mixed and extensible domain decomposition method for incompressible flows. In the scheme proposed here, the solution is sought at the intersection of two spaces, one containing...
