Evolutionary Tendencies Parasitic Copepods of Fish
Journal Title: Modern Approaches in Oceanography and Petrochemical Sciences - Year 2018, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
Parasitic copepods inhabit invertebrates and vertebrate’s animals. They have changed under the influence of parasitic life. Changes affected the body form, the reduction of segments and limbs. They have neoplasms (horns, tree-like processes, bullae, suckers, lamellar lobes, etc.). Parasitic copepods have subdued huge number of species hosts among invertebrates (coelenterates, annelids, crustaceans, mollusks, echinoderms etc.) vertebrates (fish, amphibians, mammals). Parasitic copepods have mastered sea and fresh water, but most species live in marine environment. The abundance of marine host species allowed them to implement expansion, because in the marine environment, they found greater number of environmental niches. Among copepods there is wide range of forms, standing at different stages of adaptation to parasitic life. Here we see copepods little changed in parasitic life. There are copepods heavily modified. Parasitic copepods underwent changes aromorphosis transformations, it has allowed them to conquer new habitats (ecto-, meso- and endoparasitism). Among the copepods there is a wide range of forms, stages of adaptation to parasitic life.

Possible Means of Overcoming Sedimentation by Moss Sperm Cells
A model for overcoming the gravity by moss sperm cells is proposed here. It is based on the assuming that the tip of constantly coiled sperm cell slips on surface of moss tissue, to which the cell is pressed by tensile s...
The Potential Use of SARAL ALTIKA Towards Coastal Regions - A Case Study on East Coast of India
Altimeter data provides a precise measurement of wave parameters especially over open ocean. Now, several attempts were made to retrieve wind and wave information towards coastal regions. SARAL/Altika is a first of its k...
Underwater Optical Image Processing
Image processing can be defined as performing any process on the visual data or vision signals such as a stored digital image, a photo from a scene or a video frame [1]. The output of an image processor might be another...
The Adsorption of Organic Pollutants by Gemini Surfactant-Modified Montmorillonite from Water
Water is a very important resource to human life and the development of society. But large amounts of natural and anthropogenic organic substances are constantly discharged to water bodies. The serious problem of water p...
Natural Gas Pipelines Leakage, Toxicity and its Safety Measures
A fugitive emission of natural gas during the extraction of oil and gas and its transportation through the pipeline has potential threat to the environment. Natural gas (NG) is the mixture of hydrocarbon gases consisting...
