Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2014, Vol 8, Issue 12
Abstract
The aim of the research was to investigate the relationship between Intellectual Belief and the Silver-Hanson Fourfold Learning Style among students of Payame Noor University of Tabriz. This was a descriptive-correlation study. The population consisted of students of PNU of Tabriz. The sample consisted of 377 students selected randomly among all the students. Learning Style Questionnaire (Silver-Hanson, 1980) and cognitive beliefs questionnaire (Babai, 1377) was administered to them. Amos software was used for data analysis and correlation coefficient. The results of the Pearson correlation coefficient showed that correlation coefficient between three styles of savvy-feeling, savvy-thinking, style of intuition-feeling and intellectual belief was -0.10, -0.02 and 0.23 respectively which is not statistically significant. There is a significant relationship between style of intuition–feeling and intellectual belief with a correlation coefficient of 0.23.
