Exhaust Emissions Measured Under Real Traffic Conditions from Vehicles Fitted with Spark Ignition and Compression Ignition Engines
Journal Title: Archives of Transport - Year 2011, Vol 23, Issue 2
Abstract
The tests performed under real traffic conditions provide invaluable information on the relations between the engine parameters, vehicle parameters and traffic conditions (traffic congestion) on one side and the exhaust emissions on the other. The paper presents the result of road tests obtained in an urban and extra-urban cycles for vehicles fitted with different engines, spark ignition engine and compression ignition engine. For the tests a portable emission analyzer SEMTECH DS. by SENSORS was used. This analyzer provides online measurement of the concentrations of exhaust emission components on a vehicle in motion under real traffic conditions. The tests were performed in city traffic. A comparative analysis has been presented of the obtained results for vehicles with individual powertrains.

Investigation of the some problems of running safety of rolling stock on the Ukrainian railways
The results of the evaluation of the running safety conditions of railway vehicles are presented by means of computer simulation. Analysis of the possible reasons for derailment by means of performance evaluation of roll...
The assessment of supply chain effectiveness
This paper presents the problem of the assessment of the supply chains in the context of their effectiveness. In this paper the concepts of a supply chain and effectiveness were characterized. The supply chain is a struc...
Embedded Direct Search of Optimal Designs for Finite Noise Experiments
We study experimental designs for the identification of nonlinear model parameters. As optimality criterion we assume minimality of the error in a huge number of identifications run on simulated data, which are generated...
