EXHIBITIONS OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN THE ARCHIVES OF THE MUSEUM “DROHOBYCHCHYNA” FOR THE PERIOD OF 2005 – 2007

Abstract
The article analyzes the exhibition activity of the Palace of Arts of the Museum “Drohobychyna” during the period since its opening – 2005, and until 2007. During this period of 2005-2007, the establishment of this cultural-artistic museum institution took place, and the main directions of its activity were identified. One of the priorities of the Palace of Arts was the discovery of young talent in the field of art in order to present the creativity of young artists to the public. During this time numerous artistic exhibitions, contests, presentations were held in the museum. Gifted youth gained new opportunities to present their work to the public review of Drohobych. The successful activity of the Palace of Arts was also largely due to the close collaboration that took place between the Drohobychyna Museum and the Drohobych Ivan Franko University, Drohobych Children’s Art School, and the Stryi Higher Professional Art School. Local residents, numerous tourists, including from abroad, got the opportunity to participate in the cultural life of the city, to appreciate the work of the artists who exhibit their work in the museum, to trace the trends of the development of Ukrainian contemporary art. Both the journalists and professional specialists in the field of art studies paid attention to the work of the department, which is confirmed by numerous articles of information-observation in the local and regional periodicals. Creation and activity of the Palace of Arts as a separate department of the museum “Drohobychyna” became the phenomenon of our present, which has already acquired historical significance.
