Exogenous factors of automobiles market development in Ukraine

Abstract

The article systematizes the external factors of functioning and development of automobiles domestic market in Ukraine. The article aims to detach and examine the exogenous factors of automobiles market functioning in Ukraine in the context of dynamical changes of external surrounding. <br>It is defined that Ukrainian domestic automobiles market is under constant influence of the large complex of factors that define its existence trajectory and in the same time form the preconditions of development in short-term and long-term perspective. As far as automobiles market constitutes the open national-scale economic system, it should be objectively influenced by the factors of world-economy and domestic nature. <br>It is proven that along with the functioning of world automobile market the range of other factors of international level influence the domestic market of automobiles in Ukraine. Among them: exchange rates stability; possibility to attract foreign investment in order to develop domestic automobile construction; world economic system stability. The complex of national level factors is considered by the following groups: economic (GDP volume and growth paces, its structure; inflation paces; access to credit instruments while purchasing the automobile; population purchase power level; employment level), market, social, political, competitive and institutional. <br>Special attention is paid to evaluation of risks and advantages of automobile market development in Ukraine in the view of EU and Ukraine Association Agreement implementation that significantly changes competitive conditions at automobile market and terms of domestic producers entering European markets and European producers – the Ukrainian market. According to the Agreement provisions Ukraine has obtained the possibility to apply preventive measures in the form of higher import duty rate to passenger cars of EU countries origin during fourteen years starting with the second 12-month period from the Agreement validation date in case of fulfillment of certain requirements. <br>It is proven that the examined complex of factors should be considered in the course of elaboration of automobiles market development in Ukraine; in particular in terms of revealing of different risks both for automobiles supply and demand forming.
