Abstract
Despite the detailed knowledge of the etiology, pathogenesis and clinics, the problem of early diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary embolism are very urgent. Pulmonary embolism – a blockage of arterial pulmonary thrombus (or embolus), formed in the venous system, right atrium or the right ventricle of the heart, or other material that fell into the pulmonary circulation (drop fat, bone marrow, tumor cells, air parasites fragments of catheters, etc.), resulting stopped circulation pulmonary parenchyma. This leads to hypertension, pulmonary circulation and compensated or decompensated pulmonary heart. This is one of the most common complications of many diseases that pose a threat to human life. It is known that among the patients of therapeutic profile embolism often arises stroke (65 %), myocardial infarction (MI) (22 %), acute therapeutic diseases (15 %) and the elderly (9 %). According to the Framingham Heart Study, mortality from PE is 15,6 % of all hospital deaths (surgical diseases – 18 %, therapeutic – 82 % of cases). PE is difficult to diagnosis because of its high mortality rate. Even in big modern hospitals in vivo is determined only in 25–28 % of cases. It was found that the perfusion nuclear pulmonumgraphy allows high accuracy to exclude or confirm the probable diagnosis of thromboembolism in the pulmonary artery at low radiation exposure to the patient. It is the method of choice in the diagnosis of patients with history of allergy to iodine-containing drugs, which studies with radiopaque agents are contraindicated
