Experimental Analysis and Reduction of FWM Using Optical Rectangle Filter for WDM
Journal Title: Mehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology - Year 2016, Vol 35, Issue 1
Abstract
Nonlinearities implanted by refractive index and scattering degrade the performance of optical networks. In this paper, FWM (Four Wave Mixing) has been analyzed for four different channels with 10 nm spacing. Due to the presence of resonant frequency, FWM interface of different channels in WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) hinders the performance of the system. The system is affected by nonlinear cross talk. A system with the bandwidth of 10 Gbps has been investigated using External Modulation and an optical rectangle filter as a key parameter to improve the system performance with respect to FWM effect.

Selective Leaching of Steel Pollutant Element from Dilband Iron Ore, Pakistan
Dilband Iron ore of Pakistan is lean grade ore which contains sufficient amount of phosphorous bearing mineral called fluorapatite. Since phosphorous is widely acknowledged as steel pollutant and disturbs the blast furna...
A Novel Approach for Blind Estimation of Reverberation Time using Rayleigh Distribution Model
In this paper a blind estimation approach is proposed which directly utilizes the reverberant signal for estimating the RT (Reverberation Time). For estimation a very well-known method is used; MLE (Maximum Likelihood Est...
Flood Management Current State, Challenges and Prospects in Pakistan: A Review
Flooding is globally a major natural hazard. Floods result in property and life loss and poor economic development. Though it is not possible to prevent the occurrence of floods, but their negative impacts could be minim...
