Experimental and morphological justification of the antiseptic gel aplication in generalized peritonitis
Journal Title: Хірургія України - Year 2019, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
The aim — to evaluate the efficiency of the antiseptic gel used for peritoneal lavage in generalized peritonitis in the experimental and morphological study. Materials and methods. The experimental and morphological study was conducted with 80 lab rats. the rats were divided into 4 groups depending on the antiseptics utilized for peritoneal lavage: in I group (n = 20) — chlorhexidine gluconate 0.02 %, II group (n = 20) — Decamethoxinum 0.02 %, III group (n = 20) — antiseptic gel (hyaluronic acid based Decamethoxinum), IV control group (n = 20) — 5 ml of normal saline were used. The bacteriological examination and enterotomy of the small intestine (0.2 — 0.3 cm) followed by suturing of this defect with Vicryl were performed in all groups after laparotomy, before abdominal sanitation. Results and discussion. The results of a morphological study of the parietal and visceral peritoneum after sanitization of the abdominal cavity with antiseptics indicate a high efficiency of the antiseptic gel solution compared to a 0.02 % solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate, as evidenced by a decrease in interstitial edema of the parietal and visceral peritoneum, inflammatory cell infiltration, the absence of adhesions, adequate regenerative processes in the affected area, lack of adhesions between the loops of the intestine, mesothelium regeneration. Conclusions. Antiseptic gel solution can be used for intraoperative and postoperative abdominal sanitation in the complex treatment of patients with generalized peritonitis.
