Experimental tests on short piles drilled with Universal Tractor TIH-445DH

Abstract
The short bored piles, using the TIH-445DH universal tractor, represent an absolute novelty as indirect founding solution in Romania and it has been applied for the first time in Romania in constructing an industrial warehouse in Arad International Airport area. In this paper, experimental test results are presented for two founding solutions that use short bored piles: one isolated pile solution and two piles solution connected by a reinforced concrete slab. The results from the field, that were processed both in the classical and in logarithmic version, recommend using the short bored piles solution (executed with TIH-445DH universal tractor) for founding industrial and civilian buildings, on normal and difficult founding terrains.
