Experiments of Controlers Tuning Based on Integral Criteria
Journal Title: Acta Marisiensis. Seria Technologica - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 1
Abstract
For a system specified by the process, actuator and transducer, the obtaining of a certain operating regime (stationary and transient) is conditioned by the proper choice of a controller’s structure and the tuning parameters. In order to satisfy the required performances, in most of the cases, contradictory solutions are reached, finally choosing the compromise solutions that provide acceptable values for all of the quality indices. Considering the set-point and the disturbance, the PID controllers may be tuned based on a series of criteria, including the relationships that minimize the integral of the error, known as the "minimum error integral tuning”. The paper presents the Matlab-Simulink simulation experiments, describing the behavior of a first order plus dead time (FOPDT) system with controllers tuned based on the integral of square error (ISE), the integral of absolute error (IAE) and the integral of time multiplied by absolute error (ITAE).

Nonlinear Circuit Elements Influence on the Power Network
This paper presents the most important nonlinear circuit elements, the equivalent circuits and the causes of nonlinearity. This is important because the power quality in the power network is strongly influenced by the no...
Geometrical Inequalities in Acute Triangles Involving the Medians IX
The purpose of this paper is to give a positive answer to a new open question that aimed to generalize previous open questions formulated by researchers in the field of geometrical inequalities. In this sense we prove th...
An exemplified introduction of the Laplace transform
We solve a linear Cauchy problem with discontinuous perturbation two ways, by solving continuous Cauchy problems successively and by using Laplace transform. An example is given when the last one cannot be used any longe...
Study on the Influence of Carbon on Standardized and Non-standardized Steel
The way a piece or tool behaves in operation is determined by the quality of the material from which it is made, the precision of execution and heat treatment applied. In the present research, it is highlighted the diffe...
Sinthesis on Theories of Quality Management with Application in Wiring Industry
Quality management in the electrical wiring industry is a complex issue. The paper presents a brief literature review in complex terms related to the quality management, the methods which can be used towards continuous i...
