Documentary research on job satisfaction and motivation help to pinpoint intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of motivation and teachers’ expectations which are dealt with in the light of public school settings and teachers’ expectations. Data was collected through the means of a two-part questionnaire administered to 100 EFL teachers selected randomly. The analysis of the results indicates that the majority of EFL teachers are dissatisfied with their teaching job.
