Extensions of Locally Compact Abelian, Torsion-Free Groups by Compact Torsion Abelian Groups
Journal Title: Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science - Year 2017, Vol 22, Issue 4
Abstract
Let X be a compact torsion abelian group. In this paper, we show that an extension of Fp by X splits where Fp is the p-adic number group and p a prime number. Also, we show that an extension of a torsion-free, non-divisible LCA group by X is not split.

Solving the Space -Time Fractional RLW and MRLW Equations Using Modified Extended Tanh Method with the Riccati Equation
In the present paper, a traveling wave solution has been established using the modified extended tanh method for space-time fractional nonlinear partial differential equations. We used this method to find exact solutions...
The Riemann Zeta Function and Its Analytic Continuation
The objective of this dissertation is to study the Riemann zeta function in particular it will examine its analytic continuation, functional equation and applications. We will begin with some historical background, then...
Geometric Aspects of Denseness Theorems for Dirichlet Functions
The first theorem related to the denseness of the image of a vertical line Re s = σ0, σ0 > 1 by the Riemann Zeta function has been proved by Harald Bohr in 1911. We argue that this theorem is not really a denseness theor...
Some Commutativity Theorems for Prime Near-rings Involving Derivations
The study depicts that a prime near-ring is considered to be a commutative ring if there non-negative integers exist i.e., p≥0,q≥0 in such a way that admits a non-zero derivation, where satisfying one of the conditi...
Time Series Analysis for Modeling and Forecasting International Tourist Arrivals in Sri Lanka
Tourism is one of the income generating industries in a developing country which directly contribute to the economy. Therefore, forecasting tourist arrivals is important for making policy decisions to improve facilities...
