Extracellular GroEL Promotes adherence of ΔrhlA mutant to inert surfaces in Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is particularly notorious producing robust biofilm. Bacterial biofilms are threedimensional systems, attached to inert or living surfaces that are surrounded by an extracellular matrix consisting of; extracellular DNA, proteins, exopolysaccharides, and secondary metabolites (Guilbaud et al., 2017).
