Factors Determining Outcome in Multivisceral Resection for Gastric Cancer – A South Indian Tertiary Care Centre Observational Study

Abstract
Gastric cancer is one of the leading cause of cancer related deaths. In India, Chennai, has a very high incidence of 11.8/100000 among males and 5.9/100000 among females. The resectability rate for gastric cancer is about 40 – 50 %. The reason for inoperability are locally advanced disease involving other organs, peritoneal metastasis, liver metastasis and distant metastasis.
