Factors of local tourist system formation
Journal Title: Економічна та соціальна географія - Year 2015, Vol 72, Issue
Abstract
This article is a part of dissertation research that focuses on adaptation of Local Tourist System (LTS) concept for Ukraine. LTS is an Italian model of tourism administration with the main principle of “bottom-up” governance. Similar models are being implemented in the United Kingdom, Croatia, Montenegro etc. The aim of the article is determination of factors that influence on Local Tourist System formation. To reach the goal we used some statistical data (socio-economical, demographical, ecological etc.) and method of regression analysis. As a result we obtained six regression equations. Each of them displays the group factors of LTS formation. Credibility of equations was confirmed by the analysis of regression residuals. Besides those factors described by regression equations, the author introduces another factor groups that influence Local Tourist System formation. These factors cannot be determined by statistical data. As a consequence we have a range of factors confirmed by linear dependencies that determine the development of tourism on particular territory and potential LTS formation.
