FANTASTIC STORY V. F. ODOEVSKY AND O. STOROZHENKO (MYTHOPOETICAL THINKING AS MANIFESTATIONS OF NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS)

Abstract

The author of the article contemplates the authorial worlds created by Romantics (V. F. Odoevsky and O. Storozhenko) in the aspect of their mythopoetcal interpretation. The thoroughgoing comparison suggests a conclusion that the plots of the stories by Storozhenko originate in folktales and legendry meanwhile the plots by Odoevsky take their origin in a symbolic and figurative reproduction of the world philosophically interpreted. The personages by Storozhenko convey vividly the national character. The images by Odoevsky are an embodiment of ideal representations of the intuitively cognoscible life of the Russian society.
