Farmacocinetica substanțelor citostatice

Abstract
Pharmacokinetics together with the pharmacodynamics of drugs are the basis for establishing any therapeutic protocol, so knowing, understanding and applying the pharmacokinetic principles of cytotoxic substances contribute to optimizing the treatment. The steps by which an antineoplastic agent passes through the body after administration, namely absorption, transport, metabolism and elimination, influence the clinical outcome. The role of the pharmacokinetics of cytostatic chemotherapies is to achieve maximum efficacy of the active substances while preventing and reducing their toxicity. Making a complete and correct pharmacological profile of cytostatics is an essential step in oncology, and this can only be done by deepening the pharmacokinetic study.
