FEATURES OF CRACKING OF SAMPLES FROM TITANIUM AND IRON-CHROMIUM-NICKEL ALLOYS

Journal Title: Periódico Tchê Química - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 0

Abstract

Titanium nickelide is similar to titanium alloys by its chemical properties, since its interaction with other substances, in particular its corrosion properties, determines titanium dioxide formed on the metal surface. These metals are used in various industries. Therefore, the main purpose of the work is to determine the characteristics of manufacturing samples of titanium and iron-chromium-nickel alloys. The article shows the simulation of the stress state of a material under alternating deformation. Fatigue tests of specimens with bending and torsional vibrations were performed. The simulation results are compared with the results of fatigue tests of samples from titanium and iron-chromium-nickel alloys. The simulation results made it possible to determine the locations of the maximum mechanical stresses arising under the loads and the loading scheme under consideration. It is established that the formation of cracks begins with the considered areas, which is confirmed by the results of optical microscopy and electron microscopic studies.
