Features of investment in human capital

Abstract
Modern economic and political conditions prevailing in Ukraine are demanding more attention to the development and effective functioning of the human capital that can be successfully used without inserting it significant funds. Therefore, human capital today requires considerable financial deposit. The purpose of the article is to determine the characteristics of investment in human capital and research the current state of investment in human capital. Theoretical research investment in human capital showed no single approach to understanding the essence of the concept of "investment in human capital." The main differences in human capital investment as compared with conventional investments are: return on investment in human capital depends directly on the duration of use, is determined by the remaining period to the end of working life; Investment in human capital is the most advantageous both for the individual and for society as a whole; the nature, extent and types of investment in human caused by historical, national, cultural characteristics and traditions of society, the mentality of the people. Investing in human capital can be made at the following levels: personal; micro; meso level; the macro level. Classification of investment in human capital has the following features: direct wages and salaries; payment time not worked; bonus and remuneration; the cost of vocational training; the value of cultural and community services; spending on social protection; the cost of the quality of work; cost housing for workers; labor costs, not classified elsewhere. The study of the current state of human capital in Ukraine showed negative trends in its development. Indicated that investment in human capital in Ukraine and developed countries, and these low level of this type of investment.
