Abstract
The present study investigates the variations in the feeding ecology of the knout goby (M.batrachocephalus). The index of relative importance indicated opportunistic feeding on macrobenthic fauna. The fish fed mainly on bivalves, fishes, amphipods and isopods. There were differences in diet composition during the years, seasons and sexes. M. batrachocephalus exhibited a generalist feeding strategy with a relative broad niche width.

Attempts to increase the growth rhythm of juvenile Northern pike (Esox lucius, L.) by adding enzyme based ingredients into dry feed
Northern pike’s rearing in recirculation systems is limited because of increasing FCR together with size of fish. The reason is apparently connected to the disability of pike to secrete sufficient digestive enzymes to pr...
Reproduction of Persian Gulf anemone fish (Amphiprion clarkii) in captive system
The present study was carried out to assess the reproduction of Persian Gulf anemone fish, Amphiprion clarkii (Bennett, 1830), in captive conditions with artificial features. Persian Gulf, having good relation with India...
Effect of feeding with different dietary protein level on hematological indices of juvenile Siberian sturgeon, Acipenser baeri reared under recirculating systems conditio
Hematological indices are important parameters for the evaluation of fish physiological status. The aim of present study was to obtain a basic knowledge of the hematological response of Siberian sturgeon maintained in di...
