Finite Element Analysis of Two Dimensional Functionally Graded Thick Rotating Disks
Journal Title: International Journal of engineering Research and Applications - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
The present study deals with the stress and deformation analysis of thick rotating disks made up of two dimensional functionally graded materials (FGMs) by finite element method. Material properties are distributed according to power law distribution and the disks are subjected to clamped-free boundary condition. Material modeling and finite element modeling for the disk is presented and the resulting deformation and stresses are evaluated. The effect of grading index on the deformation and stresses is investigated and presented. The results obtained show that there is a significant reduction of stresses in two dimensional FGM disks as compared to homogeneous and one dimensional FGM disks.

Mild balanced Intuitionistic Fuzzy Graphs
In this paper, we introduce intense subgraphs and feeble subgraphs based on their densities and discuss mild balanced IFG and equally balanced intuitionistic fuzzy subgraphs and their properties. The operations “sum” and...
A predictive approach to estimate software defects density using Probabilistic Neural Networks for the given Software Metrics
Software plays a very important role in our everyday life. There are many instances which show that even a small defect in the software can cause huge loss to many lives.By evaluating the errors in software in various pha...

Predicting the Nonlinear Material Behaviour under Monotonic and Cyclic loading of SA333 and SS3304 Steels
Nonlinearity naturally arises in a true, rigorous mathematical formulation of physical problems. One of the most common nonlinearity is the material nonlinearity where the stress-strain response behaves nonlinearly. The...
