First Psocoptera records from Northwest Bulgaria: a case study

Abstract

The study was carried out on the following dates - 15.6.2019 and 17.6.2019 in NW Bulgaria (Danube River Valley) from three localities: villages of Vrav and Simeonovo, and town of Kozloduy. Five widely distributed species of Psocoptera were registered: Valenzuela flavidus (Stephens, 1836), Graphopsocus cruciatus (Linnaeus, 1768), Lachesilla pedicularia (Linnaeus, 1758), Ectopsocus briggsi McLachlan, 1899 and Ectopsocus meridionalis Ribaga, 1904.
