Five Points Mono Hybrid Point Linear Multistep Method for Solving Nth Order Ordinary Differential Equations Using Power Series Function
Journal Title: Asian Research Journal of Mathematics - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper, a class of five point’s mono hybrid linear multistep method for solving nth order ordinary differential equations has been developed. In the derivation, Power series approximation was used as basic function due to its accuracy and simplicity. Collocation and Interpolation was adopted to generate the system of equations which was solved for the unknown parameters in the approximation solution of the problem. The derived schemes were implemented both in block and Pc method of the same order of accuracy. The schemes were tested on some numerical test problem ranging from linear to non-linear and problem from ship dynamics. The results show that block method performs better in term of accuracy. The basic properties of the methods show that they are zero stable, consistence and convergence.

A Simple SEIR Mathematical Model of Malaria Transmission
We have studied an SEIR mathematical model, and applied it to malaria transmission. We discussed the existence and stability of the Disease-Free (DFE) and Endemic Equilibria (EE) of both models. The (DFE) was locally asy...
Population Dynamics in Optimally Controlled Economic Growth Models: Case of Cobb-Douglas Production with Human Capital
In this paper, optimally controlled economic growth models with Cobb-Douglas aggregate production function are formulated to compare and contrast real per capita GDP performance as the population growth dynamics vary fro...
A Computation of the Casimir Energy on a Parallelepiped
The original computations deriving the Casimir energy and force consists of first taking limits of the spectral zeta function and afterwards analytically extending the result. This process of computation presents a weakn...
Some Theorems on Fixed Points Set of Asymptotically Demicontractive Mappings in the Intermediate Sense
In this paper, we establish the closedness and convexity of the xed point set of asymptotically demicontractive mappings in the intermediate sense introduced by Olaleru and Okeke [Convergence theorems on asymptotically...
Hypothesis Testing for Fractional Stochastic Partial Dierential Equations with Applications to Neurophysiology and Finance
The paper obtains explicit form of fine large deviation theorems for the log-likelihood ratio in testing fractional stochastic partial differential equation models using a finite number of Fourier coefficients of the sol...
