Flutter analysis of the IAR 99 SOIM aircraft
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2013, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Flutter analysis is considered for the minimum altitude at which the minimum designed Mach number is achieved, for the maximum altitude at which the maximum designed dynamic pressure is obtained and for the minimum altitude at which transonic effects begin occurring. Moreover, analyzes is performed for any other altitudes considered necessary. Flutter analysis results is graphically presented in equivalent speed with the curves of structural damping coefficient g required for flutter according to the flutter speed. Flutter analysis aims to determine the speeds of IAR 99 SOIM.

Mechanical performances of lead-free solder joint connections with applications in the aerospace domain
The paper presents some theoretical and experimental aspects regarding the tribological performances of lead-free solder joint connections, with application in the aerospace domain. In order to highlight the mechanical a...
Osprey – war for its own existence
The aircraft that flies like an airplane but takes off and lands like a chopper. It has been a long, strange trip: the V-22 has been 25 years in development, more than twice as long as the Apollo program that put men on...
CFD analysis for road vehicles - case study
This is a case study on the influence of the lower part of road vehicles on the global drag characteristics. Reducing overall drag by redesigning the lower part of the road vehicles has a potential of almost 20% in the o...
Strain resolving method of composite plane plates
The paper deals with the extension of isotropic plates problem to the case of composite plates. In order to perform it, the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses were "softened” by some additional ones. Considering the constitutive...
