FMS POLMO : spadkobierca tradycji firmy STOEWER

Abstract
The article presents the history and achievements of the Szczecin FMS POLMO former heir to the tradition and achievements of Stower, a wellknown car manufacturer, other vehicles, sewing machines, writing and many other devices. The plant, which was created in post-war years by changing its name and profile, eventually became a pillar of Polish automotive industry. The world famous JUNAK heavy motorcycles and important components for the steering systems of cars Warsaw, Nysa, Żuk have become the showcase of our city and region. As a result of historical and political changes, criminals and hooligans have led to the collapse of the company and the sale of its assets. At present, the only proof of its former glory is the STOEWER building which, thanks to the preservation of monuments, failed to destroy or replace any unnecessary food market. FMS POLMO is just history today, but it is worth remembering about it.
