Foreign experience in assessing the quality of life: an analysis of methodological approaches and lines of research

Abstract
The article analyzes the existing quality assessment procedures and conditions of life of the population. The basic criteria for assessment of the standard of living of the population. The author provides a comparative description of the main techniques offered in the international, Ukrainian-Russian language and literature. On the basis of the selected dvantages and disadvantages of these methods are defined further directions of research.
