Formation and development of innovative tourism clusters in the global market

Abstract

This article examines the strategic tourism cluster model, which differs from traditional models and highlights the effects of competitive clusters in three main aspects: the role of transnational corporations and foreign direct investments in the tourism cluster; interaction and differences between clusters and conditions of the business sector. This approach extends the classical tourism cluster, under the influence of "domestic-oriented environment" to the global, which has an impact on competitiveness and global socio-economic prosperity.
