Formation of directions of harmonization of interests of the basic subjects of insurance

Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of the theoretical bases of formation of insurance interest as a necessary prerequisite for the implementation of insurance. Based on the assessment of different views on the nature and source of the insurance interest emergence, it is revealed that the the latter one is mostly investigated from an insurer’s viewpoint, neglecting the interest of an insurered. Therefore, the formation of directions for harmonizing the multidirectional interests of the subjects of insurance transactions in the context of achieving the effectiveness of the insurance system determines the relevance and significance of the researching topic. The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical bases for the formation of insurance interests of the main insurance subjects and to develop the directions for their coordination. The authors reveal the reasons for the conflict of insurance interests of the main insurance subjects, in particular: the problems in payment of insurance reimbursements, insurers’ unconscientiousness, the non-observance of the price-quality ratio of insurance services. The following stages of harmonization of insurance interests of insurance subjects are justified: the identification and assessment of the insurance company’s risk level; the choice of criteria for coordinating the different interests of the insurer and the insured; the formation of indicators of the overall effectiveness of the insurance system as a result of harmonizing the interests of its main subjects. The proposed stages of harmonization of interests are built on the basis of determining the internal and external effectiveness of insurance relations. It is established that the choice of criteria and performance indicators is influenced by the diversity of insurance objects in its various areas. The prospects for further scientific research should be formed in the direction of developing the methodological support for the harmonization of insurance economic interests of the main insurance subjects.
