FORMATION OF INTELLECTUAL ABILITIES AT STUDENTS OF TEACHER TRAINING UNIVERSITY – FUTURE TEACHERS OF WORK ON THE BASIS OF THEIR POLYTECHNICAL PREPARATION

Abstract

Formation problem at students of intellectual abilities are one of main on which decision improvement of all teaching and educational process at school or higher education institution in many respects depends. In article the problem of training of future teachers of labor training, formation at them intellectual abilities is considered. The research conducted among students of the first, the third and final (at the 5th summer term of training) courses, and also for young teachers of work – graduates of teacher training University and teachers of higher education institution revealed a number of the problems connected with formation at students of teacher training University – future teachers of work of intellectual abilities on the basis of their polytechnical preparation. The polytechnic range of interests of students is estimated in the article, knowledge by them theories of polytechnic education and methodology of realization of polytechnic principle in educating, the ideas of students are studied about essence and classification of intellectual abilities, turn out relation of young teachers of the labour educating, working at school, to the task of forming for the future teachers of intellectual abilities. The results of the conducted research make it possible to identify the conditions and means of intellectual training of specialists in the system of higher education, in particular, teachers in the teacher training college. This applies to the classification of intellectual skills (or methods of mental activity), the development of algorithms for their formation, approaches to the development of educational tasks and so on. We also found out that the polytechnic outlook of undergraduate students is narrow, the formation of intellectual skills is insignificant, but it increases from junior to senior. This fact can be explained by the lack of purposeful methodical work on the formation of studentsʼ intellectual skills.
