FRENCH TEACHING METHODS AND REPERTORY FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN 4-11 AGES ACCORDING TO THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES

Abstract
In order to teach and learn a foreign language, audio and visual tools are needed. This is because teaching tools and materials have important functions for the students to reach their targets. The most common teaching tools and materials are textbooks. Textbooks have always had an enormous effect on the processes of learning as well as teaching a language in a well-defined educational environment. Textbooks have also made it possible to make the learning process firmly established. Textbooks on foreign language teaching have always been a source of reference. Therefore, textbooks have to be attentively and carefully prepared. Nowadays, textbooks on foreign language teaching have to be formatted, especially with their use of color, their educational, visual, cultural, linguistic and communicative contents adjusted according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages criteria and levels of student development. At the same time, textbooks are also important because they are reference books on language teaching and the continuous references for the students. This study covers the general characteristics of textbooks prepared according to the language levels of the Common Reference and according to the younger age groups.
