FREQUENCY INDEXES OF RESPIRATION DURING INTERRUPTER EXPERIMENT
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2008, Vol 15, Issue 2
Abstract
A new issue of the respiratory mechanics evaluation by the frequency mode of the interrupter technique is undertaken in the paper. The aim of the computer-aided research is to show the abilities to separate airways and tissue properties of the respiratory system. The proposed evaluation procedure of the identification quality in the modified DuBois model proves the possibility to conduct repeatable measurements of the important diagnostic indexes. The obtained precision of the parametric description of the investigated physiological system suggests the need to continue the work in the outlined direction. Their final effect can be a portable device with applicability to clinically diffcult subjects - infants and pre-school children.

APPLICATION OF GENETIC ALGORITHM TO MEASUREMENT SYSTEM CALIBRATION INTENDED FOR DYNAMIC MEASUREMENT
The paper presents an application of the genetic algorithm method for calibration of measurement systems intended for the measurement of dynamic signals. The process of calibration is based on the determination of the ma...
METHODS OF QUALITY CHARACTERIZATION OF FOIL-BASED CAPACITORS
The quality of aluminium foil-based capacitors is sensitive to various technological parameters within the production process. There are a few methods of their quality assessment that can identify defects inside the woun...
ON IMPROVEMENT OF SAMPLING TECHNIQUE DESIGNED FOR PRECISE ROOT MEAN SQUARE MEASUREMENTS<br />
A method for precise root mean square (RMS) measurement of periodic signals based on signal reconstruction is analysed. The RMS value of a signal under test is determined in three steps. In the first step, the Fourier co...
HE INFLUENCE OF THE BALL MATERIAL ON THE BRINELL HARDNESS
A Brinell hardness tester with carbide and steel balls was calibrated and thereafter the hardness of ten samples of steel STN 41 1600 was measured by four appraisers. The uncertainty of calibration and of the hardness me...
MICROWAVE ABSORPTION (MMMA) - A CONTACLESS METHOD TO STUDY SUPERCONDUCTORS AND MAGNETIC NANOSTRUCTURES
Magnetically Modulated Microwave Absorption (MMMA) is a sensitive differential method to study magnetoresistence related to the voltage fluctuation in nonhomogeneous superconducting systems with Josephson junctions (JS)...
