Abstract

The author, both a practician and a theoretician of museum education, scientifically explores publications on museum education. From among numerous publications he chooses to analyse those published within the past ten years by Polish museums, dealing with art and targeted at children and teenagers. He uses the typology of museums by George E. Hein as his research tool. After an American museologist, he tries to elicit four paradigms of museum publications: didactic, behavioural, explorative and constructivist. He analyses Polish museum publications and describes each paradigm in details. While opting for the last format, the author points out positive and negative aspects of all models.
