FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE INSURANCE SYSTEM

Abstract
The article deals with the critical analysis and generalization of scientific experience regarding approaches and methods for determining the functions of commercial and social insurance systems. The author’s methodology is proposed based on the classification of functions according to the sphere of action. The classification of functions of the insurance system as a holistic entity is developed. A hypothesis has been put forward that the purpose and role of the insurance system finds its manifestation not only in its functions, but also in their unity and interaction.
