Functioning of neologisms-telescopisms in English mass media

Abstract
The article deals both with the tendencies of new lexical units origin and the peculiarities of neologisms-telescopisms functioning and perception in modern English mass media. It has been proved that neologisms-telescopisms are used in English newspapers to catch the readers’ attention and to get them interested in the subject.
