Functioning of the category of gender in the modern texts of fantasy genre: upgrading and downgrading pronominal transposition

Abstract
The article is concerned with the studies of functioning of the category of gender in the modern British texts of fantasy genre. Different views on the pronoun as a means of expression of gender are analyzed, the regularities of functioning of the category of gender in the modern texts of fantasy genre for upgrading and downgrading pronominal transposition are found.
