FUNCTIONS OF THE LEGAL SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE OF UKRAINE: CONCEPT AND CLASSIFICATION

Abstract
The article deals with general concepts of functions. It is determined that functions are derived from tasks and reveal the content of the activities of any governmental authority. The specific functions of the structural divisions of the Legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are reviewed according to its organizational structure and tasks. It is proposed to classify the functions of the Legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine by distinguishing three main blocks: 1) general functions; 2) special functions; 3) auxiliary functions. The author emphasizes that the further study of the functions will be of practical importance in improving the efficiency of the Legal service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Besides, the author emphasizes that a thorough study of functions of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine will be of practical importance in development of its efficiency, by means of improvement its staff and organization structure, creation of interconnections among different level units, etc.
