Funkcje kaplicy św. Anny w Malborku a współczesna interpretacja krajoznawcza

Abstract
The castle of the Teutonic Knights in Malbork is the greatest tourist attraction in northern Poland. However, a restoration project that has recently been completed at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the High Castle in Malbork cast doubt as to whether the chapel was the final resting place of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order. St. Ann's Chapel has remained a cemetery to this day. A reburial ceremony of 18th century Jesuit monks and family members of Rexin, the Starost of Malbork, took place in the building in 2016. According to historical records, the chapel is the final resting place of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order, despite the fact that their remains were transferred to an unknown location between the High Castle and the Middle Castle already in the 18th century. The present findings indicate that our knowledge about burials in St. Ann's Chapel needs to be reevaluated.
