Geostrategic and geopolitical situation at Lower Danube and Black Sea at the beginning of the XX-th century

Abstract

The paper approaches the state of the tumultuous international relations between the Major Powers concerning Lower Danube and Black Sea Straights control in order to seize the keys of Mediterranean commercial lines and finally the road to the reaches of the Far East, old world’s chest of wealth, before the breaking of World War I and after.
