Geschäftsmänner zwischen Makedonien und Moesia Superior
Journal Title: Studia Europaea Gnesnensia - Year 2017, Vol 16, Issue
Abstract
Prosopographical evidence from Philippi and its territory documents the relationship between some persons of this colony and the senatorial families of Pontii and Furii, attested in the inscriptions from Ulpiana (Moesia Superior). The presence of members of these families in both cities could be explained by their interests in the exploitation of the mines and quarries in these regions.
