Abstract
On the 10th commemoration of the passing away of acad. Cr.I. Simionescu, acad. H.N. Teodorescu writes a moving text about the huge personality of the man who signed the scientific and cultural life of the city of Iasi – and not only – for about 50 difficult years. Among his notable achievements, special mention is made of the re-establishment of the international journal Memoirs of the Scientific Sections of the Romanian Academy.
