Global competitiveness index - macro level indicator of national economic development

Abstract
The article investigates actual issues of national economy. Based on the Global Competitiveness Index, which is presented in the Report of the World Economic Forum, described the current situation of the national economy, outlining gaps. Factors of national economic development are indicated, improvement of those positions will allow enhancing domestic competitiveness internationally.
