GLOBAL DETERMINANTS OF TRANSFORMATION OF SOCIAL CAPITAL

Abstract
The article discusses the global determinants that determine the changes in the global space and affect social capital as a factor of economic development. This theme of the article is actual, because since at the present stage of socio-economic development the importance of resources that can ensure further economic growth and social welfare increases. Such a resource may be social capital, which has significant potential and is capable of recovery. During conducting this research, a functional approach was adopted that involves identifying the causal relationships between the development of global determinants and the nature of changes in social capital. In the article the consequences of increasing the population and increasing the level of mobility, including urbanization and «escape» of human capital, into bonding, bridging and linking social capital are analyzed. The transformation of the role of the family as a source of closed social capital has been researched. The direction of influence of reducing the birth rate, increasing the life expectancy and aging of the nation into individual and collective social capital are revealed. The socio-economic problems which connected with the transition to the «complete world» economic model are specified. The necessary direction of changes in social norms, values, format of social networks in the conditions of «complete world» have been studied. The originality of such a study is that the influence of the external environment on the formation of the bonding and the bridging social capital is analyzed. It is investigated how the change of global determinants determines the transformation of the social capital of different communities. It also creates the preconditions for the development of other communities (religious, ethnic, professional diasporas) and their social capital.
